The DMG Dash is built like a tank. It is incredibly bright, solid and versatile with so many accessory options. Our favorite is the DOT modifier, which makes a lovely soft catch light. I was first turned on to these lights by my friend John Roche who runs Gaffers Salon on Facebook. The first time I hear of a new light, I go straight to Gaffer and Gear to see Andrew Lock’s breakdown. There are a lot of LED Brick options available now. I love the DMG Dash for it’s build quality, color rendition and the wide variety of modifiers that come included in the package. The only thing I would add to those is to make sure you have at least one or two DOT modifiers, as you’re going to use those often. I have a DOT for each light. They’re great for mounting onto a steadicam, using as interior car lights, faking as practicals, hiding behind books or using to light products. There are so many uses for these small, full color brick lights. Would love to hear how you use yours!
